SoupAddict has moved … but there’s a Giveaway!

September 6, 2011

SoupAddict has a new home! After much hand-wringing and sleepless nights, SoupAddict, like a nervous kid leaving home for college for the first time, has left the WordPress.com nest and settled into her own digs.

To celebrate, she’s doing something that’s never, ever been done on the interwebs before: she’s holding a giveaway  [gasps from the crowd!]. But, you should’ve come to expect such stunning innovation from SoupAddict. She’s nothing if not cutting edge and totally hip to the groove of the moment.

(A Note to Email Subscribers: If you receive SoupAddict updates via email, you’ll need to re-up your email subscription over at soupaddict.com (just click the little envelope icon at the top of the right rail). And you’re gonna, right? Right?! [bites nails nervously]. Leaving WordPress.com means having to choose a new email service provider, and the new provider requires direct sign-up to comply with their anti-spam policies.)

Okay, back to the free stuff! As you might have gathered from the opening photo, the prize is one brand new, unused, hardback copy of the utterly splendid, “Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams at Home” (retailing online anywhere from $14.54 to $23.95, depending on the mysterious whims of the Amazon price-maker-uppers).

Never had Jeni’s Splendid Ice Cream? Mark my words: she’s the next Ben & Jerry’s. (Locate Jeni’s at a retailer near you.) Innovative, daring (Gorgonzola in ice cream? Oh, yes), and a true scientist at heart when it comes to the interaction of cream and milk, Jeni has taken ice cream to new levels and made it really, really good in the process — possibly the creamiest, smoothest ice cream I’ve ever had in my life.

If the Gorgonzola flavor didn’t tempt you, how about Salty Caramel? Or Gooey Butter Cake? Personally, Jeni had me at Toasted Brioche Ice Cream with Honey and Jam. Or maybe it was Orange Blossom Ice Cream with Dark Chocolate Freckles.

And yes, they’re all in the book, yours for the making — at home, no super-fancy equipment.
